Official selection for The Tank NYC’s 2019 LadyFest, a festival of new work by women/femme artists. Currently in development. Originally inspired by the goddess Ishtar in The Epic of Gilgamesh, devour., is an exploration of the ways in which we are formed and destroyed by romantic desire. Now, it’s essentially a play about Black women and alligators. More soon come.

‘a’ (What the black girl found while searching for god)

Produced in 2018 by Ground Floor Theatre in Austin, Texas and produced as an audio play in 2020 by Parsnip Ship. ‘A’ is my first, full-length solo work and is a response to George Bernard Shaw’s, The Adventures of the Black Girl In Her Search for God. Listen here.

Originally a works-in-progress by SalvageVanguard Theatre, amendment, asks us to consider the labor and journey of transitioning from property to personhood, Black motherhood, and the trickery of hiding in plain sight.
